Fashion Tips: Dressing Your Age

Just because you are on your way to your midlife crisis that does not mean you should go around looking like a walking fashion emergency. If you are already in your 40s or 50s, you should not give up dressing well. By this time, you have probably set aside a sizable nest egg and climbed your way up the career ladder. It is time you begin dressing for your position in life, and your age.

Trends Have Age Limits, Too
As tempted as you might be to get on with current fashion trends, they are not going to flatter you once you have hit 40. Do not bother with that cropped leather jacket, and do not even think about picking up that deep v-neck tee. Even if you have the right body for it, clothing pieces that are too stylized will simply make you look awkward. You do not want to step out looking like you borrowed an outfit from your 20-year old nephew.

Living La Vida Leisure
There is a good chance that you have begun winding down your career by now. You probably take weekends off a lot more often. Heck, you are probably a regular at the nearby golf course. If you have been sticking to a career-oriented suits-and-ties wardrobe this past decade or so, it is time to loosen up your outfits and dress for your new, more relaxed lifestyle.

Retire some of the starched and stiffer pieces of your wardrobe and learn the virtues of a solid-colored polo paired with jeans or chinos. Pick up a casual shirt, roll up the sleeves and then partner it with dark wash jeans. Hang loose; you have earned it. If you find the changes too sudden, you can do it gradually, month by month. Start with a sport coat over casual shirts and chinos so that you get a look that is not too far from typical office attire.

Fit for Forties
As you get older, it becomes more and more important to get clothes that fit you, and fit you well. Many older men make the mistake of shopping at trendy, brand-name clothing stores and end up with butt-hugging denims and tees that only a runway model should wear. You have gone beyond the permissible age of sexiness, so you should simply aim to be stylish with everything you wear.

Go shop for clothes that fit you well in all the right places (your waist and shoulders, for example) but fall away slightly from your body. That way, while you do not end up wearing yards of extra fabric, you do not show off anything unflattering either. Straight cut denims that fit you like chinos and regular or vintage fit shirts should work best for your new style.

At this point, you may want to consider getting the services of a professional tailor. A good tailor will be able to give you clothes that fit you specially well, making you look even better than if you had shopped at the department store. Besides, you can probably afford it by now. If you can get a name or an establishment from a trusted friend, drop by and get a shirt or two made, just to try it out. You will be thankful you did.

Dont try dressing like a 20-year old once you have passed 40. You will j women's jackets ust look like you are trying too hard to cling on to a youth gone by. Wearing fitted, designer duds is about as tasteful and elegant as liposuction and botox treatments, which is to say, not at all. Dressing well into your forties and fifties wont just make you look good; it will make you look every inch the made man that you are.

Dating back to the sixteenth century you will find the Papillon was considered a lap dog for most of the nobles in Europe. The name means butterfly in the French translation and when you see this dog you will understand why it is an apt name. You will find this dog weighs nine to ten pounds and stands about eight to eleven inches.

They have one women's coats of the finest coats in the dog breeds as well. They are usually white with patches of black, tan, and other colors. The coat is long and almost silky. You will find they are soft to pet and that their hair is going to be a little longer than most dog breeds. Luckily the hair doesn't grow to long on their limbs, but they are fairly fluffy in appearance all around.

Like most dog breeds in the toy category you will find the Papillon dog to be extremely playful, alert, and affectionate. They are also well known for their elegance. You will also find they need to have daily exercise if you hope to keep them healthy and happy. They do need to have yard space or parks that they can go to for running and playing. You should never leave this dog in the backyard unsupervised though. They tend to have issues escaping.

Care for your Papillon requires weekly grooming for their hair. They are medium shedders and they tend to get a little tangled during the week. You will also find they are prone to ear issues and the paws need to be trimmed at appropriate intervals. Health issues you may find with these dogs are cataracts, petalla luxation, and Von Willebrands disease.

Business Litigation Attorney: Minimizing Litigation Risk

The highly nervous young lawyer stepped up to plead his case before the court. Laying his coat and hat on the bench, he stood before the judge.

"Is this the first time you've practiced in this Court?"

"Yes, your honor," replied the lawyer, fearing that he'd already committed some grave procedural error.

"Then get your hat and coat and put them where you can keep an eye on them!"

It is a fact of life that trusts is a virtue to be practiced but not taken for granted. And for the business owner, it is only a matter of time before that trust is somehow violated, resulting in legal problems.

As business owners, awareness about the legality of every aspect of one's business can mean the difference between the occasional "course correction" and the damaging effects of a lengthy and expensive trial.?

So, how best to avoid legal troubles?

While solutions differ depending on the nature of one's business, there are prudent measures any manager can take to reduce the likelihood of business litigation.

·???????? Education. Make sure that personnel are being kept up to date on current laws, regulations, and statutes. Also ensure that best practices within the company are adopted, communicated and followed. Ongoing employee training sessions about harassment, discrimination, safety and other concerns will greatly reduce the incidence of lawsuits now and in the future.

·???????? Accounting. Are your books in order? Are you ready if the Tax Man stops by for a visit?

·???????? Protection.

§???????? Find and purchase business liability insurance.

§???????? Do background checks on all potential employees, business partners, lending institutions, customers and suppliers. Know who you're dealing with.

§???????? Establish arbitration agreements to avoid complications should a future dispute arise.

·???????? Compliance. Ensure that an advisory or compliance committee is monitoring every company action for adherence to legal requirements.

·???????? Counsel. Hire an attorney to review all contracts, purchase and sale agreements, leases, patent applications, non-compete agreements, real estate concerns and other legal documents or issues.

·???????? Respect. Treat everyone and every business entity with the same respect you would accord yourself. Many potentially disastrous situations have been avoided or resolved by the offending party admitting fault (after consulting an attorney, when necessary), and seeking a peaceful resolution. Arrogance is the first step to war- humility is the only insurance against it.

But what happens if, despite your best efforts, the business is facing a lawsuit?

Depending on the situation, you have the following options:

·???????? Arbitration. As stated before, some situations can be steered away from the courtroom and into a neutral location where a peaceful resolution can be secured. This may only take a phone call or two, but may ultimately involve lengthy meetings between the opposing parties, the result being an internal policy change or an agreement to improve particular business practices for the good of all concerned.

·???????? Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). While ADR may not be the best answer in some cases, many companies and other business entities have found this a viable alternative to litigation. By seeking resolution through mediation, binding fashion jackets arbitration or conciliation, parties have greater control over the outcome and costs of the proceedings, as well as flexibility in dealing with the process itself.

·???????? Go To Court. In some cases, dispute resolution in court is the only option. Some legal matters are so complex that it may be in the best interest of both parties to have the matter settled legally, once and for all. But even here, the case may not go to trial. Some clients, not comprehending the full impact of business litigation to their profits and image, may decide to settle out of court.

Business owners can avoid most legal trouble by educating themselves and their employees, managing responsibly and treating their customers and fellow business partners with respect and trust. It's not a perfect world out there, but competing enterprises can peacefully coexist if they share these common goals.??

English Setter Essential Facts And Advice

The English Setter was bred to flush out the birds after giving a quiet alert to its Master that it had found a covey. Through the years it has kept this instinct strong.

The history of the English Setter, a hunting dog, is very ancient. It is one of the oldest known hunting breeds. It was written about as early as the fourteenth century as a specific "setting" dog. Typically a "Setter" will seek out a covey of quail or other birds and freeze in place when it finds them. The "set" is a freezing in place and they will not give chase after the prey.

One might compare this to an "alert" as the term is used for example in the area of Search and Rescue. The dog thus gives an obvious display to the hunter that it has come upon a covey or group of birds. On command of the hunter the Setter will then flush out the birds. This breed should not go after rabbit or other game.

The English Setter is "long on leg" and rather tall and rangy. The coloring is quite unusual, a roan/brindle combination known as "Belton" in varying shades of blue, red, tan, lemon, or black with white. The term "Belton" actually comes from a village in England where one of the founding breeders of the Setter , Mr. Edward Lavarack, developed his stock.

Through his careful breeding program a very useful hunting dog was perfected. The dog is muscular and lean, with a well developed nose for smelling out the birds, well angulated in the rear and with strong legs built for ranging across rugged land. The instinctive "setting" of the dog is of course natural to the breed. The coat should be slightly wavy and long and silky. Natural oils within keep the coat free of brambles and weather resistant.

The English Setter is relatively free of heritable disease except for hip dysplasia. This condition is not as prevalent in this breed however as it is with many of the other larger breeds, so in general it is a healthy dog. Occasional bathing and regular brushing are necessary and the English Setter does need plenty of exercise, for it is a working breed and very active.

For many years in England the Setter was kept within the home as a family pet besides being the Master's hunting dog. It was expected to be friendly and loyal with an even and non aggressive temperament. They should b women's coats e affectionate and loyal and accepting of strangers and other dogs, for often they are required to work in the field with a variety of hunters and dogs. They should also be placid and settle quietly when in the house, not being "wild" and overly active.

The English Setter is a highly intelligent dog and should be an easy dog to train, anxious to please, willing to work for many hours in the field and also be quietly reserved in the home. Although there are still careful breeders who work hard to maintain this stable temperament, there are also an abundance of breeders who do not strive for this goal. Consequently there are some Setters today who do not posses good temperament, and the person who is seeking a puppy of this breed would do well to investigate the source of the breeding.
